Already runs by the network the rumour, the Nokia N900 will have an updated version of its firmware, the v1.2009.42.11, before the end of this year 2009. This upgrade could be with the mode portrait.
The periods of time between a firmware update and another, indicated the importance that a device may have for the company. In the case of the Nokia N900, is the signal that the terminal is the number one in the Nokia’s catalogue.
Now we only hope that this is true and that within a few days we will see the firmware update the N900. We do not want the people of Nokia make us wait too long.
can you also put description of the new firmware. what it change and what it not change.
Does anyone know if you keep your contact information, installed apps, etc when you apply a firmware update to the n900? Or do you have to start from scratch again.

I downloaded the nokia updater but it said it cant install on my OS (win7 64bit)
I don’t think it is for the general public, but for a few select maemo testers.

It is for the mainstream! My Nokia was almost in my hands yesterday and then Nokia called the load back for a “firmware” upgrade. Now I will receive it next week
